10/17/08 - Reverand Al continues to heal after his kidney transplant surgery. The surgery took place on August 24th at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego. Thank you to all those who have been praying for our beloved minister.

What is Unity?
Unity is worldwide educational and religious organization begun in Kansas City, Mo. over a century ago.
Unity is a positive approach to life, seeking to accept the good in people and in all of life. Unity stresses that
God is not a physical being up in the heavens, for this limits God. God is Spirit, everywhere present, the one and only Spirit behind,
in, and through all things, visible and invisible. God is seen as having many attributes, but most importantly, that God is Love.
Unity affirms the divinity of Jesus, but goes further and assures us that we, too, are children of God and also have that divinity
which Jesus attained.
Unity explains that our minds are very powerful and that as we think and act upon positive thoughts, the outcomes will therefore be
positive. Insofar as our bodies connect with our minds our thinking also effects our bodies. Negative thoughts will produce negative
outcomes.
Prayer and meditation are ways by which we can link with God. Prayer is not seen as a technique for changing God, but for expanding
and transforming our minds, and thus changing us.
Unity seeks to relate spirituality to our daily needs, affirming that for every need, there is God's perfect answer.
Unity believes there is good in every spiritual and religious expression. Different religions are like spokes on a wheel with the hub
being God. Humankind seeks God in many ways and all ways are to be respected.
